With over seventeen years of experience with commercial photography and portraiture, Fitzgerald has developed a style of precision that has won her a following of local clientele eager to use the talent she exudes to mix people with the world around her. Fitzgerald's work has been featured every year in The Best of Photography Annual since 1998, Photographer's Forum Magazine (Nov. 1998), San Diego Magazine, San Diego Bride & Groom, covers for Revolt in Style Magazine (including actor Ray Liotta), G&L Times and Coiffure Q Magazine based out of London. Other celebrities include Olympian Gold Medalist Greg Louganis, comedian Paula Poundstone and Chris Beckman from MTV's The Real World Chicago.
Fitzgerald has received top honors including 4th place in the Photographer's Forum Magazine & Canon Photography Contest (1998), several awards at the Southern California Fair and has had her work accepted by the New York State Fair. Her photographs have appeared in numerous exhibits in various art galleries including Europe, Mexico and throughout Southern California including the San Diego Art Institute. Recently, her work was exhibited in a show with legends Cecil Beaton and Linda McCartney. She also won an award at The Hubbard Museum in Association with The Smithsonian Institution in 2003. Fitzgerald was the first photographer to receive the Gene Harrison Memorial Award in November of 2003.
Fitzgerald is a member of the PPA, MOPA and the San Diego Art Institute and is currently a freelance photographer for many San Diego businesses, including the Microsoft Corporation. Her work has appeared in other media including books, the Guild.com, Art-Exchange.com, billboards, calendars, silk screen shirts and a line of greeting cards.
